Nearly 4 decades of tactical to strategic roles in military, interagency and industry partnered settings; over a decade at the executive/admiral level. He is currently a Senior Fellow for RAND Corp and The National Defense University, as well as on the Board of Directors for Sinclair Health Clinic.
Aviation Professionalism
Far-reaching aviation experience, with qualifications in both jet aircraft and helicopters; current FAA instructor certification in both fixed and rotary wing aircraft. Served as Coast Guard’s Chief of Flight Safety. As the USCG’s Chief of Operations, charted a relook at aviation force lay down and fleet mix.
Qualifications
Civil Engineering Degree with High Honors from U.S. Coast Guard Academy. Valedictorian, College of William & Mary, MBA. Distinguished Graduate, MS in National Resource Strategy Industrial College of the Armed Forces/Eisenhower School, completing Senior Acquisition Corps syllabus. Graduate and guest lecturer at Harvard University National Preparedness Leadership Initiative. Eagle Scout.
Enterprise Level Experience
Executive business management roles included annual budget build and Congressional Defense, major acquisition program management then leadership of all policy, resourcing and tasking of operational elements for a branch of the armed forces.
